First Confession – 2nd Class 2021

Many thanks to Fr Eoin for a wonderful First Confession today.

Thank you so much  Fingal County Council – the mobile library is back in action!

2nd Class had such an enjoyable visit picking some fabulous books out today.

Last week we started a series of Punctuality Blitzes! 1st classes responded very well, with teachers reporting much better punctuality in the mornings.
Loads of children won a special pencil for being “in the line on time”.
This week it’s the turn of the 2nd and 3rd classes. Already we can see an improvement! Let’s see who can win a special pencil- 5 days in-a-row ON TIME!!

Reminder! If you have yet to do so, please sign up to Aladdin Connect when you get a chance.  This year our school reports will be sent via Aladdin.

Grandparents Week took place from May 10th to 14th, and was a great success! Pictures and stories were emailed in from many families in the 3 first classes. Children made connections with their grannies and grandads, and compared life stories with the different generations. Have a look at our Gallery of pictures!!
As part of Grandparents’ Week we organised a raffle for those families who sent in pictures and stories. Here are the lucky winners who each won a €30 voucher for Blanchardstown Centre!
Peter 3A, Kaleb 7a and Bobby 3A
Parents, here are a few pictures from Grandparents Day in 2019- the last time we celebrated it! This year we are celebrating a Virtual Grandparents’ Week, for the 3 First classes. We are looking for pictures of grandparents and children together,  to be emailed to:
We are also looking for tales of the ‘old days’ to be emailed in, so the children can compare their lives with those of their Grannies and Grandads. A Blanchardstown voucher will be rafffled in each of the 1st classes for all families who enter!!

2nd Class have been having fun constructing obstacle courses and jumping in the sunshine!

Well done to our legends of the week!

We look forward to welcoming back our pupils from 3rd Class – 6th Class on Monday 15th March!

It will be so exciting to see you all – we cannot wait!

Start and finish times are as follows:

3rd Class : 8.40am – 2.20pm

4th Class : 8.50am – 2.30pm

5th Class: 8.40am – 2.20pm

6th Class : 8.50am – 2.30pm

Please ensure you have completed and returned the “Return to School” form for each of your children who are returning next week.

Music Week 2020!

Boys and girls: do you remember this time last year we had Music Week in school?! We heard classical and band music, we played rhythms on percussion instruments, we had Music Technology, we had Musical Theatre……No Music Week this year, but in 2022, we will make up for that!  It will be bigger and better than ever!

Happy Valentine’s Day 2021

Bedtime Reading Club

Ms Dolan’s and Ms Morley’s Senior Infant classes are both taking part in our Bedtime Reading Club.  The children get a book every Monday and read it at home with Mum or Dad every evening, and return the book on Friday.  The books stay in school over the weekend and new books are then distributed.  Week one has been a great success!
